ECNext Launches eMarketing Consulting Service
New service to help business publishers drive Web revenue
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jan 27, 2005 -- ECNext (www.ecnext.com), a leading provider of technology and services for marketing, selling and delivering commercial business content via the Web, announced today a new emarketing consulting service that helps business publishers and other information vendors increase revenue from online content sales and from advertising. The new service offers two programs designed specifically to increase website traffic and convert visitors to customers: The ECNext Web Visibility Assessment and the ECNext Site Usability and Conversion Path Assessment.

The ECNext Web Visibility Assessment is an SEO (search engine optimization) service that helps publishers increase website traffic by providing a comprehensive, custom evaluation of the search engine visibility of the publisher’s website. The evaluation includes detailed recommendations for achieving high search engine rankings thereby driving highly-qualified traffic to the website.

“Seventy-nine percent of all business information searches begin with a search engine such as Google or Yahoo!,” says Vice President of ECNext Consulting Services, Michael Perkins, Ph.D. “It is vitally important that publishers’ products are visible to this large group of potential customers.”

The ECNext Site Usability and Conversion Path Assessment helps publishers convert visitors to customers by providing a comprehensive, custom evaluation that includes recommendations for improving the publisher website’s usability, “stickiness” and conversion effectiveness.

“Bringing visitors to a commercial website is only half the job,” says Perkins. “For sites with a primary business model based on content sales, the visitors must be converted to customers. For sites with a primary business model based on advertising revenue, it is important that the visitors spend as much time as possible on the site and that they come back as often as possible. Subtle differences in information architecture, page design, site copy and a host of other factors can have significant impact on these objectives.”

“ECNext is a pioneer in monetizing content on the Web,” says ECNext CEO Pamela Springer. “We have developed significant expertise enabling us to drive seven figure revenue streams growing 40% - 50% year over year for our customers. Until now, this expertise has only been available to publishers using the ECNext platform, but the significant and growing demand from the broader community of publishers makes this new service a natural extension of our business.”
